Hawaii Takes League Pennant in Deciding Game Saturday, November 11th, 2034 With a narrow 4-3 series win, the Hawaii Islanders have eliminated the So Cal Republic and are League Pennant winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the ABL World Series, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said first baseman Tokuhei Taniguchi, who was named series MVP. Hawaii won the final game by a score of 13-5, wrapping it up at House of the Republic. Taniguchi's big series saw him hit .389 with a .421 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Hawaii Islanders will play against the Bloomington Blazers in the next round.
