Weiss Sharp in Shutout Wednesday, November 1st, 2034 Ehrich Weiss dominated the Havana Stogies with a brilliant 5-hit shutout in a Hawaii Islanders 3-0 triumph at Aloha Stadium. The Hawaii hurler fanned 5 and walked 2 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager. "He really kept us in check today," Stogies skipper Reynaldo Vázquez said in his postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings." This year Weiss has posted a 14-7 mark in 32 starts and has a 3.38 ERA.
