Bettcher Wins TML Player of the Week Prize Monday, October 2nd, 2034 So far in his young career, Jeff Bettcher has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Thurman Munson League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Cabo San Lucas Toreros right fielder hit at a torrid .524 clip as he collected 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Bettcher is hitting .292 for the season with 4 home runs, 33 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 192 at-bats and played in 52 games. |
