Georgia's Yoshino Gets TML Player of the Week Monday, September 18th, 2034 At the age of 29, Tadataka Yoshino might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Georgia right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .542 batting average. For his efforts Yoshino collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 13 hits in 24 at-bats, 3 home runs and 5 RBIs last week in 6 games. Yoshino is hitting .279 this season with 31 home runs, 70 RBIs and 83 runs scored. He has 146 hits in 524 at-bats. |
