3-HR Binge for Ine Against Quebec Friday, September 8th, 2034 Kojuro Ine went yard three times in a Maple Marauders victory over the Quebec Armada at Lucky 7 Ballpark today. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Maple first baseman went 4-for-5 against Quebec with 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Marauders to the 13-3 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Kojuro Ine doubled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Mitsuo Kobayashi in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mitsuo Kobayashi in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Julien Caron in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. In the current season, Ine has put up a .342 batting average with 180 hits, 46 home runs, 135 runs batted in and scored 123 runs. |
