Durrani Sparkles in Shutout
Wednesday, September 6th, 2034
Maple's Khurshid Durrani brought his best stuff to Blue Ivy Stadium today, shutting down and shutting out the Brooklyn Black Knights 4-0. He racked up 5 strikeouts, surrendered 3 hits and issued no walks on his way to the victory.
"We barely made him work at all," Brooklyn manager German Burdier said later. "Maple could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted."
Thus far this season, Durrani has tossed 180.2 innings in 27 starts, fanned 126 batters, walked 25 and put up a 3.79 ERA with 12 wins and 7 losses.
