Takenaka 5-for-6 for Toreros Friday, September 1st, 2034 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Junzo Takenaka, it came around today. The 24-year-old shortstop scattered hits all over Field de Los Layendas to pace the Cabo San Lucas Toreros to a 13-3 victory over the Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas skipper Chris Schell told reporters in the press room that "Takenaka deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Takenaka hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Junzo Takenaka singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
