Tanaka Strokes 5 Hits
Tuesday, August 29th, 2034
The Quebec Armada stopped the Oklahoma City Prowlers by a score of 11-7 at Memorial Circle Park today, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Kichisaburo Tanaka. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Tanaka said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Tanaka did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Prowlers.
"Not much that I can say," offered Oklahoma City manager Evan Kiser. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Kichisaburo Tanaka hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Caiden Greenshield in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
To date Tanaka has chalked up a .300 average with 28 home runs, driven in 94 runs and scored 77 times.
