White Swats #400 Saturday, August 19th, 2034 It was a great day for Doug White, but not a good one for his Las Vegas Aces. The 34-year-old designated hitter reached a personal milestone with his 400th career homer, but it wasn't enough to beat the New England Colonials, who came away with a 10-9 victory. White finished the day with 2 hits, 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. "Well, I've conceded the fact that you can't will yourself to hit a home run," he said. "I tried hard for the last few days. It was getting to be embarrassing with the crowd standing up every time I came to the plate." Lifetime White is batting .301 with 279 doubles, 22 triples, 400 home runs and 1129 RBIs in 1728 games.
