Pioneers Blanked by Estrada
Friday, August 18th, 2034
It was a quiet day for the Vancouver Pioneers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place today -- a little too quiet. San Francisco Earthquakes starter Carlos Estrada silenced the Pioneers, holding them to 2 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete game effort.
"It was frustrating against Estrada today," Vancouver manager Dorian McNeal said.
The San Francisco starting pitcher walked 1 and allowed 2 hits while fanning 6.
This season-to-date, Estrada has fashioned a 8-10 mark and 3.67 ERA in 135 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .250 against him and he has logged 89 strikeouts.
