Jing Nabs RCL Weekly Award Monday, July 24th, 2034 21-year-old Yeow-whye Jing made a few Havana headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Roberto Clemente League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Jing collected 3 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Jing is batting .352 this season in 23 games with 7 home runs, 14 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 32 hits in 91 at-bats. |
