Watanabe Wins TML Player of the Week Honors Monday, July 17th, 2034 At the age of 28, Shojiro Watanabe might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Oklahoma City shortstop put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .556 batting average. For his efforts Watanabe collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 15 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBIs last week in 7 games. This season Watanabe has hit at a .291 clip with 32 RBIs, 3 home runs and 40 runs scored. |
