Stanton's Wife Causes Ruckus - Disses New England
Tuesday, July 11th, 2034
In an interview with the local media, the wife of New England's Ashton Stanton has criticized the local region, calling it, "A one-horse town with nothing to do and no good shops."
She went on to praise other ABL cities, saying she would love to see her husband be the face of the franchise in a "nice" city.
When asked about his wife's comments, the hot-hitting third baseman was dismayed.
"Look, I love her," he said, "but I am not responsible for what she says to you guys. I love the city of New England and plan to be here a long time."
Despite Stanton's comments, fans of the New England Colonials are worried about the third baseman's place on the team going forward. Said one local fan, "I have a wife too and what she wants, she typically gets, even if she has to pull me there kicking and screaming."
