League Gives Tatchell 2-Game Suspension
Saturday, July 8th, 2034
For his part in an altercation with an umpire over a third strike, Santa Fe Fuego designated hitter Denzel Tatchell will have to sit out 2 games. The league commissioner's office today notified the Fuego that Tatchell had been suspended for his poor conduct during the Aces game yesterday at Sin City Stadium.
After being ejected, Tatchell turned and walked toward the dugout, but then turned around, began yelling at the umpire and kicked dirt on home plate. The league said this type of behavior is not acceptable and will be dealt with according to league disciplinary policies.
This season Tatchell has delivered 53 hits in 158 at-bats for a .335 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .393 clip and his totals also include 25 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This year Tatchell has played in 47 games.
