Portland's Tim Stady Jr. Suffers Setback
Friday, July 7th, 2034
All is not well with Tim Stady Jr. in his recovery from shoulder inflammation.
The 26-year-old Beavers closer has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Stady Jr. and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday.
"Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it."
A post-workout examination revealed that Stady Jr. had re-injured himself and would now miss at least 8 months because of it.
Tim Stady Jr. is expected to undergo surgery in Portland(Oregon) tomorrow.
This year Stady Jr. has no saves. In 13 relief appearances he has tossed 11.1 innings, fanned 13 and given up 5 walks with a 0-2 record. The Portland reliever has recorded a 9.53 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .386 when he is on the mound.
