Ruíz Has Nagging Injury, Listed DTD Sunday, June 25th, 2034 Esteban Ruíz, the talented South Carolina star, suffered a mild calf strain yesterday in the game with the Grays, which could keep him out of today's lineup. "I'm a bit banged up," said the 34-year-old third baseman, "but we won't know until game time if I can play or not." Ruíz got hurt while running the bases. The team doctor said he could be out up to one week. For the season Ruíz has hit .277 with 10 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has played in 60 games and scored 30 times. |
