TML's #1 Player, Zamora of Maple Monday, June 5th, 2034 At the age of 31, Jorge Zamora might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Maple third baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .474 batting average. For his efforts Zamora collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 9 hits in 19 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs last week in 6 games. So far this season Zamora is hitting .344 with 17 home runs, 57 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 66 hits in 192 at-bats and a .469 OBP. |
