Earthquakes Bernal Out Rest Of Season Saturday, May 13th, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Juan Bernal of the San Francisco Earthquakes didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bernal sustained his season-ending injury during the Bloomington Blazers game yesterday at Golden Gate Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the San Francisco medical staff reported Bernal had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months. |
