Season Over for Pat Sheffield in Eureka
Tuesday, October 4th, 2033
Pat Sheffield of the Hornets just might have to call it quits for the season. The 30-year-old Eureka starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Kansas City Tornadoes recently at The Nest. Sheffield suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Hornets medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 9-10 months.
So far this year Sheffield has 9 wins and 16 losses and a 5.27 ERA.
