Crespo Gone for Season in Oklahoma City
Wednesday, September 28th, 2033
Oklahoma City reliever Manuel Crespo could miss the remainder of the season because of a herniated disc. He exited yesterday's Georgia game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Crespo would be out 6 weeks. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This season he has made no relief appearances, collecting no saves. Crespo has worked 194.1 innings, yielding 194 hits and giving out 50 free passes while striking out 152. He has a 10-13 record with a 4.35 ERA.
