Un-four-gettable: Baba Hits for Cycle Saturday, September 24th, 2033 Portland right fielder Motoyasu Baba had a field day at The Brew Stade, battering San Diego pitchers and hitting for the cycle. Baba sparked the Beavers to a 12-2 triumph over the Hops by going 5-for-5 with 5 runs batted in and scoring 5 runs. "I was seeing the ball great today," Baba said. "I'm glad it translated into results on the field." Motoyasu Baba hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Naomi Kobayashi in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Juan Vázquez in the 9th. So far this season Baba is batting .293 with 11 home runs, 38 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 102 hits in 348 at-bats, 27 walks and a .365 OBP. Baba has played in 96 games.
