Hops Kato to Miss Year Friday, September 16th, 2033 Akira Kato has to call it a season. The San Diego Hops second baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Jacksonville Jacks and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Kato was injured while colliding with a player at a base. His doctors diagnosed it as torn ankle ligaments and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 weeks. In 90 games this year Kato has posted a .301 average and put up these numbers: 11 home runs, 62 RBIs and 50 runs scored. |
