Reynaud Swats 3 Homers Friday, September 9th, 2033 Sometimes it just isn't enough. Jonathan Reynaud had an outstanding day at Legends Park for the New York Mafia today, ripping three home runs. Nonetheless, the Mafia fell to the Maple Marauders, 9-6. Reynaud had a feast at the plate, pounding everything thrown his way. The 25-year-old center fielder banged out 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scored 3 times and batted in 3 runs. Despite his sensational performance, the Mafia were not able to hold off the Marauders. "Baseball is a funny game," Reynaud said in the post-game interview, "You can't dwell on the reasons for the loss. I'm sure there will be days when I go 0-for-4 and we win. These things tend to even out." Jonathan Reynaud walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Khurshid Durrani in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Khurshid Durrani in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Ramón Gómez in the 7th. In the 2033 season Reynaud is hitting .223 with 21 home runs. |
