Oakes Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, August 18th, 2033 No matter what the New York Mafia threw at him today, John Oakes hit it. He easily handled Mafia pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Stogies to a 6-0 triumph at Don Corleone Park. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
