Miner Hurls Stogies to Shutout Win Thursday, July 28th, 2033 Peter Miner led the Havana Stogies to a 10-0 shutout victory over the Georgia Grays at The Humidor today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Miner recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Miner yielded 3 hits and had 5 strikeouts and 3 walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Georgia manager Davey Morris said.
