Republic Deal Sui to Pioneers for Bustamante Monday, July 18th, 2033 Everybody is overjoyed with a trade consummated today by the So Cal Republic and the Vancouver Pioneers. In the deal So Cal got 27-year-old CF Edgardo Bustamante from Vancouver and dealt 27-year-old 1B Khai Sui, 21-year-old minor league RHP Tyrone Mason and $250,000 in cash to the Pioneers. The general managers that made the swap are happy and the players are happy, too. One of the GMs commented, "This was a good swap for all concerned." So far this season, Sui has recorded a .256 batting average with 20 hits, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, 5 runs scored and a .341 OBP. So far this year Bustamante is batting .280 with 1 home run. |
