Mafia Suzuki Raps 3 Homers
Sunday, July 10th, 2033
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Havana Stogies today.

New York first baseman Yoshihiro Suzuki tripled up on the home runs to propel the Mafia to the 8-7 win at Don Corleone Park.

"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Havana manager Reynaldo Vázquez said. "Suzuki hit the heck out of the ball."

In addition to the homers, Suzuki collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs.

"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."

Yoshihiro Suzuki hit a solo-shot off Peter Miner in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Peter Miner in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jon Castaneda in the 5th and walked in the 7th.

Presently Suzuki is batting .305 and has collected 11 home runs, 31 RBIs, .353 OBP and scored 32 runs.
