Bad News For Ishii and Vancouver Friday, June 24th, 2033 The Vancouver Pioneers announced today that Akio Ishii would be missing for longer than expected as the 30-year-old right fielder recovers from a torn ligament in his thumb. "Akio had been working out with the team recently, but felt some discomfort yesterday," the Pioneers GM explained to the press. "After re-examining the injury, the team's medical staff decided that Ishii would need extra time to heal. Their estimate is 3 months more recovery time." Akio Ishii is expected to undergo surgery in Vancouver(British Columbia) tomorrow. Presently Ishii is batting .300 and has collected 8 home runs, 31 RBIs, .338 OBP and scored 33 runs. |
