Great Week for Bloomington's Arnold Layne Monday, May 9th, 2033 So far in his young career, Arnold Layne has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Thurman Munson League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Bloomington Blazers right fielder hit at a torrid .692 clip as he collected 9 hits in 13 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. To date this year Layne is batting .397 with 8 home runs. |
