Place today, thanks in large part to second baseman John Oakes, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Stogies to a 6-3 victory. John Oakes singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Mitsuharu Shionoya in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
