Week's #1 Player Honored by RCL Monday, April 25th, 2033 At the age of 29, John Oakes might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Havana second baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .550 batting average. For his efforts Oakes collected the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 20 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 RBIs last week in 5 games. This year Oakes has hit at a .373 pace and produced 21 RBIs, 8 home runs and scored 14 runs. |
