Blair Slugs 300th Home Run Tuesday, April 19th, 2033 The Portland Beavers had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 9-6 decision to Brooklyn. The reason -- the splendid slugger Ralph Blair hit his 300th career homer in today's contest at Waterfront Park. "I'm fortunate to be here," Blair told the media after the game. "The Beavers have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #300 was for them." Lifetime Blair is hitting .295 with 223 doubles, 8 triples, 300 home runs, 1013 RBIs and 837 runs scored.
