Mustangs Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Chargers
The Topeka West Chargers got a sterling performance from first baseman David Barber, but the Mustangs still prevailed, 7-6. Barber was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. San Marin reliever Eric Spence picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Matt Ratliff shouldered the loss. The Mustangs bumped their record to 21-20 with this latest triumph.

Jayden Bell, who is the top prospect in the Mustangs organization, chipped in for San Marin with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the shortstop had 3 hits in 6 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
