Hornets Get Road Win, 8-6
|
The Enterprise Hornets knocked off the Jefferson Indians, 8-6, at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. Kyle Harris was named player of the game for Enterprise. He produced 1 single and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Aaron Buckley, the winner, improved to 3-2. He held the Indians to 5 earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The win puts the Hornets at 17-23, while the Indians drop to 23-17.
Harris came through with some timely hitting for Enterprise. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and one down, Harris hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring double. His 9th double of the season made it 1-0, Enterprise.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Enterprise skipper Yassin Flament.
