Golden Bears Walk Off with Win
The Billings West Golden Bears beat the Downsview Mustangs, 10-9, at Guadalajara HS Grounds. Billings West right fielder Tom Morrin earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Billings West reliever Nick Krueger picked up the win to move to 1-1. Dusty Vaughn suffered the loss. Billings West is now 26-14, 5½ games up in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division.

Morrin had a game-changing single in the bottom of the ninth. On a first pitch cutter from Dusty Vaughn, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Golden Bears a 10-9 lead. It was the 8th hit of the year for Morrin.

"This place was rockin'," said Morrin.
