Islanders Fall to Withrow, Poly
The Riverside Poly beat the Grand Island Islanders, 10-5, at Ballpark of Morelia HS. Riverside shortstop Andrew Withrow earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 4 times. John Radtke got the win, improving to 2-3. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The Poly bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.

Cody Gleason aided the Riverside cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-1 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Withrow said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
