Valley Helps Tioga Central Cruise to 19-1 Win
Tioga Central first baseman Pete Valley was instrumental in his team's 19-1 win over the Derby Panthers. Valley went 4-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Tigers. Tioga Central's record now stands at 19-20, placing them 4th in the Pete Rose League Roger Clemens Division.

When the Tigers needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Valley who delivered. Facing Derby pitcher Greg Keelan the top of the third with runners on 1st and 3rd, Valley hit his 7th home run of the year. It made the score 5-0.

Derby manager Daniel Hills called the blowout loss "an abysmal failure."
