Mustangs Win at Billings West, 6-3
|
Downsview right fielder Karl Holman was instrumental in his team's 6-3 win over the Billings West Golden Bears. Holman, who is tied for 4th in the PRL in extra base hits with 27, went 4-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mustangs. Manny Andino, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 2-1. Downsview's record now stands at 17-22, placing them last in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division.
Thomas Crawford aided the Downsview cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Downsview manager Ralph Prince.
