Jarvis Goes Off, But Poly Win
The Riverside Poly and Grand Island Islanders lit up the scoreboard at Ballpark of Morelia HS.

The Riverside Poly defeated the Grand Island Islanders, 15-11. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Vince Jarvis, who slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winner was Riverside reliever Willard Gibson, now 2-0. The loser was Justin Sullins.

Cody Gleason aided the Riverside cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

Gleason told the Riverside News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."

The Poly bumped their record to 20-19 with this latest triumph.
