Geddes Goes Wild, But Panthers Win
The Tioga Central Tigers got a sterling performance from first baseman Henry Geddes, but the Panthers still prevailed, 10-8. Geddes was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Xavier Grisham sewed up the save, his 6th. The Panthers now have a mark of 15-23.

Had Fernando Benitez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Benitez hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 10-8, in favor of the Panthers.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Derby skipper Daniel Hills.
