The Jefferson Indians grabbed a 9-8 win over the Enterprise Hornets at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. Jefferson catcher Jason Burch went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Jefferson reliever Richard Pupo was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Hirokazu Matsumoto took the loss. The Indians bumped their record to 22-16 with this latest triumph.

Jefferson took a 9-8 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, pinch hitter Kyle Jones hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"What a game," said Burch. "We needed every last run."
