Chargers Prevail, 4-3, Over Downsview
|
Breakers Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Downsview Mustangs and Topeka West Chargers.
The Topeka West Chargers picked up a win at Breakers Ballpark, knocking off the Downsview Mustangs, 4-3. Starting pitcher Kyle Brisson was an essential part of his team's success. Andrew Morris locked down his 8th save.
Edward Peterson, who is rated as the 10th best prospect by BNN, chipped in for Topeka West with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"It's a mindset," said Brisson. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
At 16-21, the Chargers are currently 5th in the Pete Rose League Roger Clemens Division.
