Seminole pitcher Tim DiMaio did his part in helping his team beat the Riverside Poly, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. DiMaio picked up the win for Seminole, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Seminole has now won 5 straight.
Ricky Pena, who is tied for 2nd in the HAL in hits with 62, aided the Seminole cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
