Duchesneau Helps Kearny High Cruise to 11-3 Win
The Kearny High Cardinals beat the Grand Island Islanders, 11-3, at Ballpark of Morelia HS. The Cardinals got a fine performance from right fielder Travis Duchesneau, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. The Cardinals bumped their record to 19-16 with this latest triumph.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Fred Gates hit a double. The Cardinals went on to win.

Duchesneau told a Kearny High Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
