Panthers Lose, 12-5, at Oranges Ballpark

The Enterprise Hornets powered past the Pleasantville Panthers, 12-5, at Oranges Ballpark. Andrew Mauldin was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3, to lead the charge. Willie Lopez, the winner, improved to 1-3. He held the Panthers to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 8. The 5th-place Hornets now have a 5-game winning streak.
When the Hornets needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Mauldin who delivered. Facing Pleasantville pitcher Ryan Dudzinski the bottom of the first with runners on 1st and 2nd, Mauldin hit his 7th home run of the year. It made the score 4-0.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Mauldin said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
