The Canby Lancers defeated the Santa Clara Vampires, 8-7, at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS. Canby center fielder Frank Keddy was named player of the game for his superb performance. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Canby now has a 3-game win streak.

The Lancers got a big at-bat from left fielder Bill McKissick. For the game, McKissick went 1 for 4 with a hit by pitch, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 44th hit of the season gave Canby a 6-4 lead.

"We maximized our offense today," said Canby skipper Cody Coffman. "That makes everyone's life easier."
