Stogies Get Close Win Over Black Knights
|
Havana Stogies starter Joe Hardy was in fine form against the Brooklyn Black Knights at The Humidor, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Havana reliever Abdul Razzaq Kharoti picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Cong Foong was saddled with the loss. Felipe Arreola notched his 14th save in 17 chances.
Shi-kai Tsu, who is tied for 9th in the RCL in home runs with 15, chipped in for Havana with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Tsu. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
The third-place Black Knights have lost 4 consecutive games.
