Islanders Win in Extras
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win at Ballpark of Morelia HS today.

Grand Island right fielder Vince Jarvis was instrumental in his team's 7-6 win over the Carl Albert Titans. Jarvis, who is tied for 2nd in the HAL in RBI with 37, went 4-6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Islanders. The first-place Islanders have won 6 consecutive games.

Jarvis had a game-changing single in the bottom of the tenth. On a 1-1 curveball from Tom Frenchik, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Islanders a 7-6 lead. It was the 40th hit of the year for Jarvis.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Jarvis. "I just want to win ballgames."
