Rhinos Need Extras to Top Sasquatch
|
The Rubber City Rhinos relied on the hitting of second baseman Avatsara Sangameswar to stop the Seattle Sasquatch, 7-5. For the game, Sangameswar went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Shinzo Sasaki converted his 12th save in 18 tries. Seattle's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The Rhinos got a big at-bat from left fielder Aidan Turgoose. For the game, Turgoose went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Rubber City a 7-5 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Turgoose. "And not try to do too much."
