Centner Hits 2 home runs in Patriots Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from Ross Centner, who is tied for 8th in the PRL in home runs with 10, helped the Francis Lewis Patriots beat the Tenafly Tigers, 6-2. The Patriots bumped their record to 16-12 with this latest triumph.
When the Patriots needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Centner who delivered. Facing Tenafly pitcher Brad Derringer the bottom of the second with runners on 1st and 2nd, Centner hit his 10th home run of the year. It made the score 6-1.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Francis Lewis manager Justin Easton. "Our pregame was pretty good."
